Why Hosted Snap exists.

Built by an operator who’s been on the truck for 15 years and got tired of paying $50/month for a “social media kit” just to make one before-and-after image. So we made the tool free. Forever.

The problem.

Every local service business takes before-and-after photos. Cleaners do it. Pressure washers do it. Landscapers, roofers, painters, detailers — all of them. The photos are the single most persuasive marketing asset a service business has. They’re proof the work happened.

But the tools to turn those two photos into one branded social-ready image are bad. Canva is overkill — you fight with templates, drag layers, resize on a phone. Photoshop is a non-starter for the tech in a truck. The dedicated “before-after generator” apps cost $20-50/month and lock the export behind a paywall the moment you want to remove the watermark. So most operators just don’t post. The photos die on a phone.

The fix.

Hosted Snap is a free browser tool that does one thing: take two photos, stitch them side-by-side or top/bottom, drop in your logo, output a clean social-ready image. No credit card. No watermark. No subscription. No upsell on the export.

It runs entirely in your browser. Your photos never leave your phone or laptop. There’s no “photos uploaded to our cloud” step. The tool itself is the website — load the page, drop your photos, download the result.

How is it free?

Hosted Snap is built and maintained by Hosted Brands — a small portfolio of software for local service businesses. The free tool is a public-good marketing arm: it earns trust, it gets shared, and a small percentage of people who use it eventually become customers of our paid products (Hosted Reviews, Hosted Proof, and others).
